Williamsburg Area Bicyclists - Ride Schedule

Road Ride Paces
* * Helmets are Required on All Rides * *
A=Fast and Steady 18-22 mph
B=Moderate & Steady 15-17 mph
C=Moderate with Stops 10-14 mph

Casual=Up to 11 mph, mostly level terrain unless noted, and distance
from 10 to 25 miles. Group will wait for all cyclists. Low traffic roads.
Frequent rest stops. Good pace for beginners and families.

Williamsburg Area Bicyclists - Ride Schedule

STANDING RIDES

Call ahead when planning to attend a ride. This allows you to inquire about directions, the weather, or last minute changes in schedule. Ride leaders are not obligated to lead a ride in inclement weather, or when the temperature is below 40 degrees.

Helmets are required on all WAB Rides

Don Cherry leads a 25-50 mile B pace ride with stops, from his office at the intersection of Route 199 and Henry Street, at 1 p.m. Call Don at 253-2500.

Saturdays
Conte's Bike Shop: 20+ mile A/B pace ride tentatively scheduled each Saturday from the Warwick store, 9913 Warwick Blvd. (Hilton Area) Newport News. Call the shop for details (595-1333).

Saturdays
HDK Denbigh: 8:30 a.m. 1 ½ hours long. Choose 25 or 40 miles. Call the shop at 877-5419.

Saturdays
HDK Hampton: 8:00 a.m. 26 mile ride from the store. Pace to suit group. None left behind. Call 827-0606 on Friday.

BikeBeat Bike Shop: 8:30 a.m. 30 mile A/B paceline technique ride from Monticello Market Place Shopping Center in Williamsburg. Call David Wilson at 229-0096.

Sundays
9:00 a.m. Barry Herneisey leads a mountain bike ride from Bikes Unlimited, on Scotland Street. Call Barry at the shop at 229-4620 to confirm.
